How to use this calculator
1. Upload an image. 2. Read its pixel dimensions, megapixels and aspect ratio. 3. Compare the print sizes at 72 to 600 DPI to decide how large it can print.
Formula
Megapixels = (Width x Height) / 1,000,000. Print size at a DPI = Pixels / DPI.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between resolution and DPI?
Resolution is the pixel count, for example 4000 x 3000. DPI describes how densely those pixels are printed. The same resolution can print large at low DPI or small at high DPI.
